Arctech Will Supply Norinco International for a 125 MW Solar Photovoltaic Power Plant Project in Bosnia and Herzegovina
/LONDON, January 17, 2025, 14:00 GMT, RENEWABLE MARKET WATCHTM/ Arctech, a global leader in solar tracking and racking solutions, has partnered with NORINCO International, a subsidiary of China North Industries Corporation. As part of this agreement, Arctech will provide its advanced 1P single-axis solar tracking system, the SkyLine II, for a 125 MW solar project near Stolac, Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH). This partnership marks a significant milestone for Arctech's expansion into the European solar market.
Bosnia and Herzegovina, situated in Southeastern Europe, receives an average annual solar radiation of approximately 1,500 kWh/m², making it an excellent site for large-scale solar projects. The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) projects that the country has the potential to generate up to 3 GW of photovoltaic power by 2030. To support this growth, the Bosnia and Herzegovina Energy Framework Strategy 2035 has established clear goals to increase the share of renewable energy in the national power mix.
Arctech has been operating in Europe since 2013, opening its first local office in Madrid, Spain. Over the years, the company has expanded its presence by establishing a service center, regional headquarters, research and development facility in Madrid, and a warehouse in Valencia. In November 2024, Arctech further strengthened its commitment to the European market by opening a new European headquarters in Madrid, allowing them to provide more tailored solutions for their clients.
