  • BayWa r.e. Completed the Construction of the Tarquinia Solar Photovoltaic Power Plant in Italy with an Installed Capacity of 51.4 MWp.

    /MUNICH, GERMANY, October 8, 2024, 11:00 CET, BayWa r.e./ BayWa r.e. is pleased to announce the completion of the Tarquinia solar park in Italy with an installed capacity of 51.4 MWp. The plant consists of more than 94,000 fixed solar modules providing electricity from renewable sources to more than 35,000 households. BayWa r.e. acted as the general contractor and developer of the project, managing not only the development of the park and all the authorisation phases, but also its construction and the installation of the photovoltaic (PV) panels. With work now complete, BayWa r.e. will be responsible for the operation and maintenance (O&M) of the solar farm.

  • PPC Group and MYTILINEOS Announced their Strategic Cooperation for the Development of a Solar Project Portfolio of up to 2,000MW (2GW) in Bulgaria, Croatia, Italy and Romania

    /ATHENS, April 11, 2024, 10:00 BST, PRNewswire/ PPC Group and MYTILINEOS Energy & Metals announce that they have signed a Cooperation Framework Agreement (CFA) for the development and construction of a portfolio of solar projects up to 2000MW in Italy, Bulgaria, Croatia and Romania. Specifically, the agreement refers to approximately 90 solar projects owned by MYTILINEOS in Italy (503 MW), Romania (516 MW), Bulgaria (500 MW) and Croatia (445 MW) which are at various stages of development. Under the agreement MYTILINEOS will undertake the development and construction of these projects, which will then be acquired by PPC Group upon completion of their connection to the electricity grid of the aforementioned countries.

    /Essen/Rome, December 4, 2024, 9:00 GMT, RWE/ RWE was successful in the Italian Resilience and Recovery Plan auction, awarding contract for difference tariff and up to 40% return on investment for advanced Agri-PV. The 9.8 megawatt (MWac) Morcone and 9,3 MWac Acquafredda advanced Agri-PV plants, located in the province of Benevento in the Campania region, were awarded. Construction of the more than 32,500 solar modules is scheduled to begin in early 2025, with commissioning scheduled for the end of next year.

  • RWE Starts Construction of its First 8.3 MW Solar Photovoltaic Power Plant in Italy

Bosco, an 8.3 megawatt (MWac) ground-mounted solar plant, will be installed in Partinico Municipality near Palermo, Sicily. On a 16-hectare site, around 15,000 bifacial modules1 will have the capacity to generate enough green electricity to supply the equivalent of 7,000 Italian homes. Commissioning of this solar powerr plant is planned for the end of the year.
