Exus RenewablesB Brings 53MW of Wind Power to Poland’s Grid with Amazon as PPA Partner.

/WARSAW, POLAND, January 13, 2025, 10:30 CET, RENEWABLE MARKET WATCH™/

Exus Renewables, a leading energy solutions provider, has commenced commercial operations at the Jastrowie (30MW) and Okonek (23MW) wind farms in Poland, bringing the total installed capacity to 53MW. These projects were made possible in part through Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with Amazon.

Together, the two wind farms are expected to generate approximately 116 GWh of clean electricity annually, supporting Poland’s energy transition. The PPAs also advance Amazon’s decarbonisation initiatives. This milestone marks a significant achievement in development and construction, ensuring that the clean energy produced by both wind farms will help decarbonise Poland’s energy grid.

Commissioning these assets further strengthens Exus Renewables’ position as a leading energy solutions provider, delivering clean energy through PPAs to companies across Europe.

“After months of hard work, we’re delighted that the Jastrowie and Okonek wind farms are now officially operational,” said Pawel Szawlowski, Country Manager for Poland at Exus Renewables. “Exus has a strong commitment to decarbonising Europe’s economy and advancing key renewable energy technologies. Through these PPAs, we will help fast-track Poland’s renewable energy transition, contribute to the government’s 2030 clean energy targets, and to Amazon’s decarbonisation efforts.”

Poland aims to generate 56% of its electricity from renewables by 2030 under its National Energy and Climate Plan. Projects like Jastrowie and Okonek wind farms advance this goal. According to Poland’s National Energy and Climate Plan (NECP), the country aims to generate 56% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2030. Wind power, a major component of the NECP, is being advanced through projects such as the Jastrowie and Okonek wind farms.
