ScottishPower Earns Prestigious Recognition from Energy Regulator Ofgem for Outstanding Performance and Exceptional Sector Leadership

/LONDON, February 6, 2026, 10:50 GMT, RENEWABLE MARKET WATCH™/

ScottishPower’s distribution businesses, ScottishPower Energy Networks (SPEN) and ScottishPower Electricity North West (SP ENW), were recognised as leaders for achieving first and second place in Ofgem’s reliability assessment.

Ofgem’s annual report assesses distribution network operators based on reliability, customer service, environmental performance, innovation, and expenditure.

Nicola Connelly, CEO Of SPEN, said: “It’s encouraging to see the positive progress and tangible impact of our ED2 investment recognised by Ofgem across all three of our DNOs as we work to deliver the modern, resilient and reliable electricity network our customers and communities need. “There’s lots more to do to, which is why we’re continuing to work with the regulator to deliver against our ambitious £5.3 billion investment plans, create jobs and opportunities, and help steer the nation towards a cleaner and greener future.”

Stephanie Trubshaw, Chief Operating Officer for SP ENW said: “We’re delighted our strong performance has been recognised. We’re now halfway through our five-year £2 billion investment programme, which is delivering huge improvements that are being recognised by our customers. We’re speeding up domestic customer connections, continuing to invest in good jobs and delivering high satisfaction, which is exactly what we set out to do in this business plan.”

Both companies were also recognised among the top three for customer satisfaction, particularly for their exceptional support for vulnerable customers. Committed to progress, SPEN and SP ENW plan to invest over £5 billion in regional electricity networks from 2023 to 2028, further enhancing a modern, resilient, and reliable service for customers and communities.
