According to TBEA, the TS5t0KTL-HV-C1 inverter’s design, centred on standardised 5 MW and 5.5 MW PV sub-arrays, directly targets BOS cost optimisation while also enhancing grid support capabilities. This dual focus enables project stakeholders to maximise return on investment through both capital and operational savings, while supporting grid reliability and compliance. Leveraging a high-voltage architecture of up to 1,600 Vdc and 1,000 Vac, the inverter minimises cable requirements, reduces transmission losses, and lowers overall equipment count—delivering meaningful CAPEX and OPEX reductions compared to legacy 330 kW-class solutions. At the core of the TS550KTL-HV-C1 is the integration of advanced third-generation silicon carbide (SiC) power semiconductors, enabling industry-leading conversion efficiency (99.0% maximum, 98.8% European efficiency), increased power density, and a compact system footprint. These technical advancements translate directly into operational savings and higher energy yield over the project lifecycle, enhancing the overall business case for investors and asset owners. The inverter’s robust design supports reliable operation across extreme temperatures from -40°C to 70°C and at altitudes up to 5,000 meters without performance derating, making it suitable for deployment in challenging, diverse global environments.
