/LONDON, April 29, 2026, 9:00 BST, RENEWABLE MARKET WATCH™/ ROSI is building a new industrial site in Spain with a 10,000-tonne annual capacity and has appointed Thierry Galvez as Director of ROSI Alpes. ROSI renew its partnership with Soren.
ROSI is further consolidating its leadership in the European high-value solar panel recycling sector, unveiling a €20 million funding round designed to expedite its industrial growth agenda across the continent. This comprehensive financing package, which blends proceeds from a Series B equity raise with French and European grant awards, will enable ROSI to fast-track the deployment of its cutting-edge recycling facilities. A key focus is the expansion of its Spanish site, which will operate the first fully standardised industrial production line utilising ROSI’s proprietary recycling technology, setting a benchmark for process excellence in the industry.
To underpin this next phase of development, ROSI has appointed Thierry Galvez as Production Site Director for ROSI Alpes, effective April 1, 2026. Galvez brings extensive operational leadership experience, supporting ROSI’s commitment to scaling its production capabilities and operational excellence.
The €20 million funding round attracted participation from both new international investors and existing shareholders, reflecting strong market confidence in ROSI’s business model and growth trajectory. The Series B round was anchored by prominent investors, including InnoEnergy, CMA CGM, the European Innovation Council (EIC), and the Spanish family office G3T. Finadvice, a Zurich-based corporate finance specialist in DeepTech, provided strategic financial advisory services and also joined as an investor, alongside other Swiss and Polish family offices.
ROSI’s industrial scale-up is further supported by the INSPIRE-PV project, backed by CINEA (the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency) through the European Innovation Fund. This initiative enables ROSI to expand its high-value photovoltaic module recycling operations, positioning the company at the forefront of sustainable solutions in the solar industry.
Leveraging operational insights from ROSI Alpes—its inaugural industrial site—the company is rapidly advancing its expansion strategy by launching a new state-of-the-art facility in Teruel, Spain. This flagship plant will represent a pivotal achievement in the industrialisation of photovoltaic recycling, equipped with an integrated, highly automated production line tailored for scalable deployment. With an annual processing capacity of 10,000 tonnes, the facility will deliver high-purity recycled raw materials, including silver, silicon, copper, aluminium, and glass, reinforcing ROSI’s reputation for technological leadership and supply chain reliability.
The project is instrumental in advancing a scalable, circular-economy model for photovoltaic recycling across Europe, reducing reliance on imported critical raw materials and enhancing the resilience of the European supply chain. Over the long term, these initiatives are expected to solidify Europe’s position as a leader in sustainable solar manufacturing and materials recovery.
