/RIGA, LATVIA, June 30, 2025, 10:00 CET, Sunly/ The Latvian Investment and Development Agency (LIAA) has granted Priority Investment Project status to Sunly’s planned wind and solar energy projects in Saldus Municipality’s Zirņi Parish and Kuldīga Municipality’s Skrunda Parish. The plans include the development of a wind park with a capacity of up to 200 MW. In parallel, construction of the first phase (~100 MW) of Sunly’s solar park in Zirņi Parish is already underway.

Iberdrola Spain and Renfer Signed a Corporate Renewable Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for 3,700 GWh of Wind Energy until 2035

/Madrid, SPAIN, June 19, 2025, 9:30 CET, Iberdrola/ Iberdrola España, Iberdrola's subsidiary in Spain, and Renfe, Spain's main railway company, join forces to promote the use of wind power in passenger and freight rail transport in Spain, the most electrified mode of transport. The two companies have signed an agreement to purchase onshore wind energy through a VPPA (Virtual Power Purchase Agreement) for 370 GWh a year for a period of 10 years, equivalent to the output generated by 190 MW of wind power.

RWE Inaugurated its First Wind Farm in France with a 14.7 MW Power Capacity

/ESSEN, GERMANY, June 10, 2025, 10:00 CET, RWE/ RWE announces the official inauguration of the Beg Ar C’Hra wind farm, located in the municipalities of Plounévez-Moëdec and Plounérin, in Brittany, France. The project was co-developed in partnership with the Lannion-Trégor semi-public company (SEM). This collaboration led to the granting of the environmental permit in 2022 without appeal. Construction of the wind farm began a year later, in the fall of 2023, with successful commissioning in November 2024.
